Intorduction to Ethnic and Ethnicity Assignment
“The Terminal”

Introduction
The Terminal is a 2004 comedy-drama film based on a story by Andrew Niccol and Sacha Gervasi. This film was made and directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Hanks.
The aim of this assignment is to find out the three perspective of sociology in The Terminal. The writer is using symbolic interactionist perspective, the functionalis perspective, and the conflict perspective in this study.
Discussion
At the beginning of the film the conditions were revealed at the time when there was a conflict, a group of Chinese people who were not known entered the immigration section and then one of the immigration officers suspected the group because they did not bring a camera, because the American people's mind that there were no tourists entering their territory was only for vacation, and passport victor navorski was suspended because his country did not allow him to travel to the United States because of a domestic revolution in his country (krakhozia). In the excerpt there is a view of social conflict because of differences in class and group of people. The conflict theory has been used to explain a wide range of social phenomena, including wars and revolutions, wealth and poverty, discrimination and domestic violence.
In the next scene is also not allowed to be approved by the United States and he was approved to wait internationally, this can be seen clearly the functionalist perspective which can not be allowed to support active change in its environment.
In the next scene Navorski starts to adapt to his environment as he starts to understand and understand English and also makes money from trolley users. This illustrates the existence of a Symbolic Interactionist Perspective which explains how a person learns the habits around him and adapts himself to be accepted. for example there are novarski foreigners who don't speak English and he moved to America who uses English, of course he will use English as a social interaction and reduce the use of his mother tongue.
Conclusion
At the end of the conclusion of this report, the conclusion reached is that functionalism can be interpreted as how the community contributes to their environment, just as Navorski did in the movie The Terminal.

Muhammad Faruq Bukhori 13020117140087 Patriarchy, Feminism, and Gender in The Yellow Wallpaper By Charlotte Perkins Gilman In the story of The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte, I found a view of patriarchy, feminism, and gender. This story is packaged so unique because from the background of this story the author wrote about the social role of American women at that time. In the following, I will describe the interpretations of patriarchy, feminsime, and gender contained in this story. 1. Feminism Interpretation As the main character of this story, Narrator has experienced a lot of criticism and control from a man namely Sumai himself. She (the narrator) was forbidden to write and to give an opinion, even went out to work she was not allowed by her husband. This can be seen in the following fragment of the story.
